A hardy, spreading annual with daisy-like flowers. A native of South Africa, but is now spread throughout through all regions of North America; however, cool, moist regions may have trouble growing African Daisy well. Blooms are 2-4 inches across with colors varying in orange, white, and yellow. Well suited flower for roadsides, floral gardens, arid regions, mixtures, open fields and rock gardens.

Indian blanket flowers usually appear in late spring and signal the beginning of summer in many parts of the country. With their showy, concentric bands of red and yellow blazing across wide expanses of land, they do indeed resemble colorful Indian blankets. Originally a bright gold, the flower was a favorite of the Aztec Indians.
